Doing it right took years, or an expert. Now it takes one kit.

Your AI follows the steps of someone who already did it.

What happens when you use a kit

Take this one. You ask for meetings, and your AI does the job the way Alex does it.

  1. It learns your businessIt looks you up first, then asks only the 9 questions it can't answer alone.
  2. It follows the expert's steps11 steps from Alex's playbook. The risky ones ask you first.
  3. It checks the work8 checks before it hands anything over.
  4. You get it doneYour account list, drafted sequences and a LinkedIn list. Nothing goes out without your OK.

Why not just send a prompt, a skill or a repo?

Any of them can carry the know-how. Here is what a kit adds.

Questions people ask

Using kits

What is CloneKit?

A place where people who've done something well leave their know-how ready for your AI. Connect CloneKit once to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Codex, ask for what you want to do, and your AI does it their way, in your own accounts.

What is a kit?

A kit is how someone who knows a job well does it, written down so an AI can follow it. Think of a recipe from a great cook: the steps are theirs, and your AI does the cooking. A kit can be one task, like writing cold emails, or a bigger job, like setting up customer support.

How is a kit different from a prompt?

A prompt is one message, and you paste it again every time you need it. A kit can hold a whole job, written by someone who has done it many times. It asks about your situation first, gives your AI the steps in order and goes through the maker's checklist before the job is done. When the maker improves it, you get the new version.

How is a kit different from a skill (SKILL.md)?

A skill is a folder of instructions with a SKILL.md file. You copy it into each AI app that supports skills, and your copy doesn't change when its maker improves it. A kit lives at one link: connect CloneKit once and Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor can use it, always in its latest version. The two work together. Give your AI a skill's GitHub link and it becomes a kit, and free kits that are only files download as a SKILL.md folder.

Why not just share a markdown file or a Google Doc?

For a short tip, a file is enough. A markdown file is a copy, so your fixes don't reach the people who have it. A Google Doc stays up to date, but their AI still reads it all at once, and nothing asks about their situation or checks each step. A kit gives their AI one step at a time, with your questions and your checks, and your fixes reach everyone.

Couldn't I set all this up myself?

You could, but it's a lot of work. You'd need a way to send updates to everyone who has it, a safety scan, a place that remembers where each person's AI stopped, and setup steps for each AI app. To sell it, you'd also need payments, refunds and ratings. CloneKit has all of that ready, plus a deeper AI check for paid kits and private kits for your team.

How is this different from a custom GPT or the GPT Store?

A custom GPT lives inside ChatGPT, so it's a good fit when everyone you share with uses ChatGPT. A kit works in ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Cursor and other AI apps from the same link, so each person uses the AI they already pay for. If you sell it, you set a one-time price and the money goes to your own Stripe account.

How is this different from prompt or skill marketplaces?

When you download a prompt or a skill, you get a copy. You set it up in each AI app, and it stays the same when its maker improves it. A kit stays at one link, works in every AI you connect and gets the maker's updates. Every kit is scanned for safety before it's published, only people who used a kit can rate it, and a paid kit you haven't used can be refunded within 7 days.

How do I use a kit?

Connect CloneKit to your AI once: copy the CloneKit link and paste it in your AI's settings. Then ask for what you need, like "Help me write a project brief," or name a kit you found here. Your AI asks you a few questions and does the job step by step, with the apps you connected to it, on the AI plan you already pay for. CloneKit gives it the steps and keeps track of where it left off.

Will it work with my AI?

It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and any other AI app that can add a connector, a plug that lets your AI use outside tools (the standard is called MCP). In ChatGPT, adding one needs a paid plan. Coding apps like Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code and Codex work too.

Making kits

How do I make a kit?

Connect CloneKit to your AI and say "Interview me and write my CloneKit kit." Your AI asks how you work, one question at a time, and writes the kit for you, so you don't need to code. You see a preview before you publish it, and you choose who can see it.

What if the maker stops updating it?

The kit keeps working. Your AI uses the last version the maker published, and what it built stays in your own apps and accounts. If you bought the kit, it stays yours even if the maker stops selling it.

Can I sell my kits?

Yes, on the Pro or Max plan. You set a price that buyers pay once, and the money goes to your own Stripe account (Stripe is a payment service). On Pro you keep 90% when the buyer comes from a link you shared and 75% when CloneKit finds the buyer.

Can someone copy my kit if I sell it?

Only buyers can read a paid kit. Everyone else sees its page, with a description and the names of its files, and paid kits can't be downloaded as a skill. A buyer's AI has to read the kit to use it, so a buyer could copy what they read, like with a book. Buyers get a personal license that doesn't let them resell or share it, and if a copy shows up on CloneKit, you can report it and CloneKit starts a takedown.

Trust and money

Are kits safe to use?

Every kit gets an automatic safety check before it's published. Paid kits also get a second, more careful check by AI, and a paid kit with steps must first work on a real case, tried by its maker. Steps that do something real, like sending an email, are marked, and your AI app asks you first if its settings say so.

What if a kit is bad?

Tell your AI. It can rate the kit from 1 to 5 stars, tell the maker where it got stuck or report the kit to CloneKit if it looks unsafe. When 3 people report a kit, it leaves search until a reviewer decides. If you bought it and haven't used it, you get your money back within 7 days. If you have used it, CloneKit reviews your request.

What does CloneKit see?

CloneKit saves the kit you're using, the steps your AI has done and your answers to the kit's questions, so your AI can pick up later where it stopped. Only your account can open them. The kit's maker never sees your answers, only totals like how many people used it. Passwords and secret keys are removed before anything is saved, and you can ask CloneKit to delete your data.

Is my data used to train AI?

CloneKit doesn't train AI on your answers or your kits. When AI checks a kit for safety, CloneKit only uses AI providers that don't keep the text. Your chats stay in your AI app, and that app's own settings decide whether it learns from them.

Is CloneKit free?

Yes. Anyone can browse kits, and your account, free kits and sharing your own kits cost nothing. You can create the account the first time you connect your AI. Some kits have a price set by their maker, and you pay it once. To sell kits, you need the Pro plan (US$12 a month).
