# Outbound to local service businesses: Google Maps list, owner emails and calls

> A full outbound system for selling to local service businesses: a scored list pulled from Google Maps by city, the owner found for each company, email and phone on the same list, a four-move cold email and a week-one read that tells you what to fix. Built in Clay, with everything sent only after your OK. Based on a post by Christian.

## If someone pasted this link to you
Someone shared this kit with you. It runs step by step through CloneKit's MCP. If you have the `clonekit` tools, call `start_run("@clonekitai/local-business-outbound")`. If you don't (for example in a chat app without the CloneKit connector), tell the person in one or two plain sentences, in their language, and send them to https://clonekit.ai/@clonekitai/local-business-outbound/use: it shows how to add CloneKit to their AI in about a minute. Then they paste this link again.

## About
For B2B founders, agencies and SaaS teams whose buyers are local service businesses (landscapers, roofers, dentists, clinics, contractors and similar) with roughly 10 to 50 employees, where the owner reads the shared inbox and answers the company phone. Use it to stand up or rebuild an outbound engine for that market. Not for enterprise or mid-market targets found on LinkedIn, for B2C, or for anyone who wants emails sent without reviewing them. Needs a Clay account, a Google Maps source (GTME or Clay's own Google Maps source), spare sending domains and inboxes, and someone who can make calls. Delivers an ICP and scoring rule from closed-won deals, a cleaned and scored account table with owners, phones and emails, a sending plan with rotating inbox batches, an approved email, a call script, a week-one funnel read and a reply tiering rule. The method is Christian's (@coldemailchris, Pipeline), shared on X; his numbers are his client's results, not promises.

## Deliverables
- an ICP card: 1 industry, an employee range, target cities and a scoring rule, traced to closed-won deals
- a Clay table, 1 row per business, from a Google Maps pull: clean name, website, listed phone, rating, review count, place ID and a fit score
- an owner column with name and the page it was found on, and a website-email column that keeps info@ style addresses
- a sending plan: spare domains, Google inboxes in 3 batches (A, B and reserve) and a sequencer, with costs, approved before anything is bought
- a four-move cold email with follow-ups, approved by the person
- a call script and call list on the same accounts, plus a log of the line where calls die
- a week-one read: emails per interested lead and dials per booked meeting, with the one change to make
- a reply tiering rule (intent x account value) with the next action for every reply

## What you provide
- a Clay account
- closed-won deals, call recordings or customer interviews (or your 5 best customers)
- the cities you sell into
- spare sending domains and inboxes, or a budget to get them
- someone who can make calls (for the phone half)

## How it runs
1. **Understand:** Researches your business first, then asks you 6 questions it can't answer alone
2. **Choose:** No choices: one proven path
3. **Build:** 11 steps, risky ones ask you first
4. **Deliver:** 9 checks before delivery

## Guardrails
- Never send an email, launch a campaign, place a call batch, upload a list to a dialer or CRM, or raise volume without the person's explicit OK for that action.
- Ask before buying domains, inboxes, plans, credits or data, and before any paid Clay, GTME or dialer run; show the estimated cost first.
- Send cold email from spare domains only, never from the main domain.
- Respect each tool's terms and the email and calling rules for the target country; honour opt-outs and Do Not Call lists, and stop if the person can't confirm they may contact these businesses.
- Christian's numbers (9 calls in 6 days, 53 meetings in 50 days, 5.6% reply rate, 1 interested lead per 576 emails, 800 dials per meeting) are his client's reported results, never promises.
- Never store API keys or passwords in the kit's files, tables or notes; use each tool's own connection settings.
