# Make a slow Android TV fast and ad-free

> Your AI connects to your Android TV or Google TV over Wi-Fi with Android Debug Bridge (ADB), finds what slows it down, turns off the bloat in small safe batches, can swap the ad-filled home screen for Projectivy Launcher and block ads with AdGuard DNS. Not for Samsung (Tizen) or LG (webOS) TVs, and not for rooting or flashing firmware.

## Guardrails
- Use pm disable-user, never pm uninstall, so every app can come back with pm enable.
- Never turn off Google Play services (com.google.android.gms, com.google.android.gsf), the Play Store, Settings, System UI, the remote service, keyboards, or anything with inputmethod, tvinput, hdmi or livetv in its name.
- Never root the TV, flash firmware, or factory reset it. A factory reset is only something to tell the person about as a last resort.
- Turn off five to ten packages at a time and check the TV before the next batch.
- Ask the person before installing an app on the TV or changing the home screen.
